Conservatory Program - The Edge and The Climb

Lead Instruction by Mary Joy Nelson, Erin Tuttle, Stephanie Valentino, Grace Hensley, Kaitlin Rucker, Danielle Hughes with Special Guest Artists (Sheri Sanders in 2023.)

 

Class Schedule:  1:30-4:30pm on Saturdays

Required MT Tech Dance:  1:00-2:30pm OR 2:30-3:30pm on Sundays*

Additional Dance Offered:  

Tap on Sundays for 1 HR 1:30 or 2:30 (alternating with your MT Tech class)

Ballet/Jazz on Tuesdays for 1 HR 6:30 or 7:30pm (college prep)

*Tuesday dance classes may be substituted for Sunday dance class requirement.  Please inquire.

With comprehensive training for high school and advanced middle school musical theatre performers, this package provides students with advanced acting and audition training, vocal technique and styles, advanced singing instruction, musicianship training, dance technique and styles, choreography, varied role study, and unique performance opportunities. Conservatory training requires committed individuals who train from Fall 2022—Spring 2023. 

After your successful admittance into the advanced program, selecting this package secures your registration in the following programs: 

• The Edge or The Climb Advanced Musical Theatre Programs
• Participation in Advanced Cast Productions in the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023.
• Opportunity to participate in the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta, Georgia in January 2023, and/or The National Youth Theatre Experience in Louisville, Kentucky in February 2023..
• Access to Private Vocal Instruction with an advanced level voice teacher at InnOVATION Arts Academy.
• Access to Community Outreach and Special Performances.
• For High Schoolers - Access to HS Internship Programs.

Students must take a minimum of 1 hr of technical dance training per week.  We strongly encourage our conservatory students who wish to pursue collegiate musical theatre to take as much dance training as they can fit into their schedule.  By grouping their training, advanced students save significantly on class registration fees.

Cost Breakdown:
The Edge or The Climb Triple Threat Class:  $770 value for $620/year
Fall and Spring Productions:  $450 value for $300/each or $600/year

1.5 HRS of Dance $420 value for $373/year

Conservatory Rates:

- All conservatory registrations include an Advanced programs jacket ($36 value)

Conservatory with 1 HR Dance = $1458/year or $166/month for 9 months

Conservatory with 1.5 HR Dance = $1629/year or $181/month for 9 months

Conservatory with 2 HR Dance = $1728/year or $192/month for 9 months

Conservatory with 2.5 HRS Dance = $1836/year or $204/month for 9 months

Conservatory with 3 HRS Dance = $1953/year or $217/month for 9 months
Conservatory with 3.5 HRS Dance = $2007/year or $223/month for 9 months
