Junior Theatre Festival

JUNIOR THEATRE FESTIVAL

Select students will represent InnOVATION Arts Academy at the Junior Theater Festival (JTF) in Atlanta, Georgia in January 15-17, 2027 presenting a 15-minute festival performance for adjudication by Broadway professionals.  Students who attend JTF also take workshops and watch amazing, professional-level student performances, as well interviews with and performances by Broadway professionals on the main stage.  Check out the JTF website: https://juniortheaterfestival.com/

• You may pay the JTF Rehearsal Fee in full or over 7 months @ $35.75/mo (Sept-Mar)

Rehearsal Fee Cost:

• $300 Rehearsal Fee (includes JTF/InnOVATION performer's T-Shirt )

  You may pay the JTF Rehearsal Fee in full or over 5 months @ $60/mo (Sept-Mar)

• Additional costs: food, hotel, and travel expenses.

REHEARSALS:

Sundays from 5:30-6:30PM September 13-November 1st

Fridays from 5:30-8PM September 11-October 30th

Wednesdays 5:30-8PM November 4th-December 9th

5:45-9PM January 3-13 (except Sat/Sun which will be 1-6pm)

SEND-OFF on Tuesday, January 12th at 8PM

REQUIREMENTS:

*Students must be age 7 or older.
*Students will audition August 28th, 29th, and 30th for JTF participation. Students who audition must be registered for JTF.  JTF 2027 will feature some cheer and tumbling elements which will be rehearsed on Sundays from 5:30-6:30PM.  We will take stock of student's ability and comfort level specifically for these activities.  All rehearsals will provide momentum toward a challenging JTF 15-minute performance.  Student must fully commit to attending JTF in the beginning in September.
*Students must be a part of the Blue Monarch Advanced Conservatory: Flight, Edge, Climb, or BreakOut Classes

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Class and rehearsal times will be sent out on the studio calendar and call times and reminders sent out via email and text.

All students attending JTF must be prepared to be an active team player in order to present an ensemble-based story with many moving pieces. The nature of a JTF performance will have lead character moments, but most moments all students will emphasize group storytelling, so a teamwork mentality will be maintained throughout the experience.

Conflicts must be submitted at auditions.  Our rehearsal period is short and intense.  Therefore, only students with minimal or no conflicts will be considered for JTF 2027. 

JTF Wristband/Entry Fees (paid to the festival):

$375/person participant fees (for each student or parent attending the festival) due September 12th, 2026.

Families are responsible for travel and lodging expenses to attend JTF. (InnOVATION Arts will reserve a block of hotel rooms and all families are required to stay at the JTF hotel this year.)

Mandatory Parent Meetings (please mark these dates in your calendar):

Meeting 1:  JTF Mandatory Parent Meeting SEPTEMBER 12th, 2025 at 5PM - Ballroom House.  All Festival Forms and Fees DUE.  Cast picture will be taken.  General Information about the festival will be covered.

Meeting 2: JTF Mandatory Parent Meeting JANUARY 12th. 2026 at 8PM following send-off performance - ArtsPlace. Purchase items needed for the festival.  Specific Information about the festival schedule and travel plans will be covered.
