Introduction to Costuming
with Anna Hogan
Tuesdays 6:30-8:30pm
March 14 - April 25
*No class April 4 due to Spring Break 

 

Students will learn the basic structure and function of the artistic costuming process including organization skills, artistic design, and communicating vision.  Students will learn to create visuals as a guide for communication with the director.  Period costumes, painting, creative draping, and early sewing skills will be explored.  These costumers-in-training will gain training in fitting costumes, quick change techniques, and other secrets of the costume trade.  Finally, students will have the thrill of watching their costumes come to life in a live production of The Lion King Jr.

​Cost to participate in the 6-week class: $200 ​Class will cap at 6 students to ensure adequate individual attention. Portions of this class may occur off-site.
