PRODUCTION DESCRIPTION

Dive into the big blue world of Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo JR.! Marlin, an anxious and over-protective clownfish, lives in the Great Barrier Reef with his kid Nemo, who longs to explore the world beyond their anemone home. But when Nemo is captured and taken to Sydney, Marlin faces his fears and sets off on an epic adventure across the ocean. With the help of lovable characters such as optimistic Dory, laid-back sea turtle Crush, and the supportive Tank Gang, Marlin and Nemo both overcome challenges on their journey to find each other and themselves. Finding Nemo JR. brings a vibrant underwater world to life on stage in a story full of family, friendship, and adventure.

CAMP DESCRIPTION

Each day, campers will hone their triple threat skills by singing, acting and dancing with our amazing teaching artists.  They will build their acting skills through scene work and expressive, physical storytelling.  They will become more confident singers through group and/or individual singing, learning musical terms and healthy vocal technique.  They will learn choreography to match their songs and gain confidence in expressing themselves through movement.  Campers may also take part in craft projects that are featured in their performances.  Casting will take place on the first day of camp. Campers will have the first weekend off.  During second weekend, camp will culminate in four 70 minute performances on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th.

FULL PRODUCTION

All students participating in Finding Nemo, Jr. will perform in fully staged, costumed, and choreographed performances of Finding Nemo Jr. at the Singletary Center for the Arts on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August 4th.  Parents will need to provide black jazz shoes, underclothing, and base costume pieces.  Public performances will be ticketed.  (Please anticipate a ticket cost of $20-$25).
